Medical Lab Coats Information

Lab coats are protective garments designed to protect the wearers from direct exposure to dangerous chemicals and infectious materials.  Medical professionals, research chemists and others who must work around hazardous materials in a laboratory setting primarily use lab coats.  Lab coats are a great necessity for those working in medical, scientific and health fields.  Lab coats are also important to medical personnel because they can be used to keep their clothes clean.

To introduce, the white lab coat is a global symbol of the medical profession and the science labs.  As white color implied cleanliness, hygiene and eradication of infections, it was thought to be the ideal choice for representing the medical practitioners.  From the eyes of the patient, the only thing that they see is a doctor or other medical personnel.  Today, all medical uniforms of short sleeve shirts and pants are referred to as scrubs, and are available in any pattern or color.  However, when the medical professionals adopted lab coats in the late 19th century, they took up white color lab coats instead of the prevailing beige color back then.  Lab coats are today used during tests and researches and while performing specific tender medical works.  Medical lab coats are a must have for the majority of people that have a profession within the medical industry.  Medical lab coats are designed for use in medical and health institutions, and are commonly worn by doctors, nurses, and nurse practitioners.  Medical lab coats are most often identified with doctors.  The lab coat is an important part of the medical and health world of today.  A white coat or laboratory coat (abbreviated lab coat) is a knee-length overcoat/smock worn by professionals in the medical field or by those involved in laboratory work to protect their street clothes.  Those working in medical laboratories tend to opt for the white cotton or cotton/polyester blend although black lab coats were used in early biomedical and microbiology laboratories because any dust was immediately visible. Casual and comfortable are the necessary ingredients for great custom medical lab coats and custom lab coats.
